Each fall in Las Vegas, the automotive industry comes together at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show. It puts the best after-market equipment on display and shows off some amazing custom vehicles. This year, three Ford vehicles earned SEMA Vehicle of the Year awards.
The Ford Focus earned the title of Sport Compact of the Year, while the Mustang and F-Series earned the Car of the Year and Truck of the Year awards, respectively.
“We are honored that SEMA Show exhibitors have bestowed Ford with these prestigious awards,” said Hermann Salenbauch, global director, Ford Performance. “We make a point of embracing the aftermarket and appreciate this endorsement from the SEMA community as we strive to keep our best-selling nameplates among the most customized vehicles around the world.”
The F-Series has long been a favorite at SEMA. In fact, it has earned the Truck of the Year award eight times in the past nine years, which is as long as the award has been around. The Mustang is also a popular choice and this was its sixth SEMA award since it has won Car of the Year four times and Sport Coupe of the Year twice. This is the fourth SEMA award for the Focus.
