Ford Reveals First-Ever Explorer Timberline

Ford Reveals First-Ever Explorer Timberline | Brownsville, TX

Weekend adventurers in Brownsville will be elated with Ford’s brand new Explorer Timberline. Recently announced as a dedicated off-road trim, the Timberline is ready to elevate your driving game to a whole new level.

The Timberline comes with standard Intelligent 4WD to keep your traction game tight and a Terrain Management System with Hill Descent Control to keep you cruising through all the bumps along the way. These features work in tandem with heavy-duty shocks and Bridgestone Dueler P265/65R-18 all-terrain tires that didn’t come to play.

Not many obstacles will prove to be an issue with 8.7 inches of minimum ground clearance and a max approach angle of 23.5 degrees. You’ll have the power to go the distance, too, with a 300 horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine. Add that to the Class III Trailer Tow Package and the Timberline can tow up to 5,300 pounds so you won’t have to leave anything behind.

As much as the Timberline stands out in the lineup and on the road, it’s a perfect fit in an off-road setting. It comes in a gorgeous Forged Green Metallic paint color with sunset accents like Red Ember Tow Hooks and a Deep Cypress interior with Deep Tangerine stitching.
